CVMAS Summer Benefits Orientation
Join CVMAS for a virtual orientation to learn how to use GI Bill® benefits and other military-connected education benefits at Michigan State University.
These sessions are designed to help incoming and current students better understand the process for using education benefits at MSU, including GI Bill® benefits, MINGSTAP, and Federal Tuition Assistance.
Topics include:
- Setting up and initiating VA education benefits
- Understanding the MSU certification process
- Important semester timelines and reminders
- Enrollment considerations that may impact benefits
- Tuition and payment timing
- Monthly housing allowance and book stipend basics
- Connecting with veteran and military-affiliated student resources at MSU
Each session will also provide an opportunity to ask general questions and better understand next steps before the start of the semester.
Whether you are using benefits for the first time or just want a refresher before the academic year begins, these orientations are intended to help students feel more prepared and confident navigating the process at MSU.
