Our Mission

The Center for Veterans and Military-Affiliated Students (CVMAS) at Michigan State University (MSU) is dedicated to providing servicemembers, veterans, and military-affiliated students with the resources and support they need to thrive. We focus on fostering learning, development, and success, helping our students navigate their academic journey and build meaningful careers.

Our Vision

At the CVMAS, we honor the unique experiences and sacrifices of servicemembers, veterans, and their families. Our vision is to create a community where every veteran feels welcome and supported. By recognizing the shared experiences of military service and addressing individual needs, we provide a space where students can connect, collaborate, and plan for their future.

Through this inclusive approach, the CVMAS strives to empower the MSU veteran community to overcome challenges and celebrate achievements in academics, career development, and personal growth.

All programs and activities are open to all without restriction or preference based on race, sex, color, ethnicity, national origin, or other protected personal identity.

The CVMAS: A Home for MSU Veterans

In 2025, the Student Veterans Resource Center was renamed the Center for Veterans and Military-Affiliated Students to better reflect the population we serve.
