About the Conference
The 2022 Big10 Academic Alliance Military and Veterans 2022 Conference will be hosted by Michigan State University at the MSU Union. The Union is located at 49 Abbot Rd, East Lansing, MI 48824.
The conference will feature sessions that focus on best practices across participating institutions, with a special focus on federal policy changed affecting military-connected students. Highlighted topics include legislative action, navigating policy changes, serving dependent students, and managing Federal Tuition Assistance.
Travel Information
Hotel
The MSU Student Veterans Resource Center has reserved a block of rooms at The Graduate in East Lansing, just a short 5-minute walk from the MSU Union where the conference will be held. The Graduate offers valet parking on site, which the host school is able to cover through gifts from donors. The hotel will route any valet fees directly to the MSU SVRC, which would normally be charged to the guest's account, as long as the guest used the group room block.

If you aren't staying at the Graduate and need a parking pass, please contact the host school directly.

Flights
If possible, we suggest flying directly into Capitol Region International Airport (LAN), which is a 20 minute drive to The Graduate hotel. Bishop International Airport in Flint (FNT) is another decent option, with about a 45 minute drive to The Graduate. Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR) in Grand Rapids and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) also make good options, but have longer drives.
